What the app does

IG Insight Pro analyses Instagram HTML exports in ZIP files that you select using the Android document picker. It calculates following relationships, comparisons and interactions from the information available in the export. You do not create an IG Insight Pro account or enter your Instagram password in the app. Sessions you open in Instagram, Meta or a browser belong to those services.

Data processed on your device

An export can contain usernames, display names, relationships between accounts, dates, links and activity, including comment, Story and message metadata. The app reads its contents to calculate results. It keeps analysis results, event metadata, document references and review decisions in its private app storage. The interaction caches do not retain the original text of messages, comments or prompts. Access to your selected ZIP may persist between sessions so the app can read it again. The app does not make a complete copy of that ZIP for analysis.

The app also stores your selected language, tutorial decision/version and an optional welcome name if you provide one. Stored results support subsequent sessions, comparisons and review progress. Local ZIP analysis does not mean that every external service you choose to open operates offline.

Account avatars

The current implementation displays initials generated locally from usernames. It does not query Instagram or download profile photos for those avatars and does not read photos cached by older versions. Older photos may remain in private storage until you confirm Delete analysis data, which also removes them.

External links and Excel sharing

Opening an account profile or Accounts Center delegates to Instagram, Meta or another app or browser. A profile link includes the username. Those services apply their own terms and privacy practices.

An Excel export contains following-analysis information, including usernames, review states, available dates and profile links. When you share it, the app grants file access to the recipient you choose. The recipient may save or transmit a copy. Copies held outside IG Insight Pro are not removed by its internal deletion function.

Retention and deletion

Analysis results and review decisions remain available for later sessions. Importing another ZIP replaces the accepted document reference and updates the relevant caches; it is not a general deletion operation. Older cached photos and temporary Excel files do not have an app-managed expiry timer. Android may clear cache files.

You can select Delete analysis data from the welcome screen or Home and confirm the action. The app stops analysis jobs, removes its results/caches, cached photos, review decisions, optional welcome name and temporary Excel files, and releases persistent document permissions. Language and tutorial preferences are retained. Original ZIP documents and Excel copies saved or shared outside the app remain.

If deletion does not finish, the app displays a warning so you can try again. Interrupting the app or terminating its process during deletion may leave it incomplete. The function does not certify secure physical erasure and does not delete data held by third parties.

Reset review clears the corresponding review progress, rather than all analysis data. Android's app-storage controls provide a separate way to clear app data; they do not remove original documents or external copies.

Protection and included services

Analysis files and preferences are stored in the app's private storage. Android Backup is disabled and app data is excluded by the configured backup/transfer rules. This is not a claim that every file is encrypted by the app or that user-created copies are impossible.

The reviewed candidate contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDK. The planned first version is free and has no ads. Future changes to services or data handling require corresponding updates to this information and any applicable choices.

Support requests

If you email iginsightpro@gmail.com, your email address and the information you provide will be processed to handle and answer your request. Support emails are retained while a request is open and deleted from the managed support mailbox 90 days after resolution, except where an applicable legal obligation requires particular information to be retained longer.

Voluntary support relies on the legitimate interest in answering requested help and resolving incidents (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Rights requests are handled to meet applicable legal duties (Article 6(1)(c)). We do not use support emails for advertising or make automated decisions with legal effects about requesters. Providing information is voluntary, but insufficient details may prevent a reply. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. An email does not authorize unrelated uses or indiscriminate processing of third-party data. The 90 days refer to mailbox management, not an Android timer or deletion of copies held by senders or third parties.

External services and hosting

Support email is managed using Gmail. Google processes messages, attachments and technical information needed to provide that service. Do not send Instagram exports or private messages; describing the problem and app version should normally suffice. This policy is provided through a static Cloudflare Pages website. Cloudflare may process IP addresses and technical request information to deliver and protect the page. The legitimate interest is to provide accessible, secure privacy information. This service does not receive your ZIPs or analyses stored on your phone. The publisher includes no forms, ads or user-tracking tools in the page content. Provider information: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.

Google and Cloudflare operate international infrastructure; email or visit data may be processed outside Spain or the European Union. Google describes adequacy decisions and standard contractual clauses in its linked transfer information; Cloudflare describes safeguards and standard contractual clauses in its data-protection documentation. You can ask the privacy contact about applicable safeguards. Providers retain technical data for their purposes and obligations; the 90-day support period does not guarantee simultaneous deletion of their backups or logs.

Contact and your rights

You can email iginsightpro@gmail.com to ask about data handling or exercise applicable rights, including access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction and portability. Each right depends on the processing and its legal conditions. Explain your request and avoid attaching Instagram exports, private messages or identity documents unnecessarily. If an identity check is needed, only proportionate and necessary information should be requested.

Requests will normally be answered within one month of receipt. Where complexity or the number of requests justifies it, the period may be extended by up to two additional months under the applicable legal conditions. You will be informed of an extension and its reasons within the first month. You may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (https://www.aepd.es) or the competent data-protection authority.

The publisher does not automatically receive ZIP files or results stored on your phone and cannot erase them remotely. Use Delete analysis data to remove internal data, subject to the limits above. A rights request may concern, for example, support emails retained by the publisher. This process does not delete an Instagram account or data held by Meta.

Adult audience and responsible use

IG Insight Pro is intended exclusively for people aged 18 or over. It is not directed at minors. This audience choice does not replace Instagram's terms or requirements applicable in each country.

Only analyse files that you have the right to use. Do not send exports, private messages or other people's information to support. Before sharing an Excel file, check its contents and recipient: it may include usernames and following relationships, and the recipient can retain it. The app does not automatically publish your analysis or verify the recipient's age.

The app does not collect dates of birth or implement its own age verification. Its adult audience does not guarantee an installer’s age. Store access conditions are separate from this policy.
